Good ideas get lost in translation. Make science and technical communications CLEAR.

A brilliant idea can fail for one simple reason: no one understands it.

This is a quiet problem that gets overlooked in the rush to innovate. In the technical and scientific worlds, we focus so much on making the thing work that we forget to make it clear. We assume the data speaks for itself or that a product's sophistication is self-evident.

But what happens when it isn’t clear?

You end up exhausted of being a constant translator for your own work, explaining multi times, only to be met with confused looks, no's from stakeholders, or questions of how to use the product because its design is "broken".

These moments feel like minor headaches, but they are symptoms of a deeper issue.

Each instance of confusion, no matter how small, adds a little bit of drag. It creates tiny fractures in credibility and forces your team to spend time fixing preventable issues rather than innovating. Over time, that drag accumulates and begins to quietly steer the direction of your project, your funding, and your brand's reputation.

These aren't just random frustrations; they are signals. They point to a disconnect between the value of your work and how it's perceived. And this disconnect has consequences that are often underestimated.

My design philosophy has always been about untangling this kind of complexity to make space for meaning. The solution isn’t to dumb things down, but to design with intention and patience.

To help with this, we created The Clarity Workbook.

A guide to help innovators, founders, and product teams diagnose where their message gets lost. It connects the dots between those small, everyday frustrations and the significant, hidden costs they represent.

This document is for anyone who believes good work deserves to be understood. It’s a tool for building with confidence, knowing your science and technical communication is as thoughtful as your product.

Do you need a clarity audit? Let's talk!
